Blessed God, We give to you today what is your own.   May the money we have presented not only help the buildings that help your people, but also help the families all around our communities.   Help us to give ourselves in the ways you want, not only in the ways we want. Amen.

What Does the Lord Require of Us? To do justice, and love kindness, and walk humbly with our God. How can we do justice? To listen to what God is calling us to do. How can we love Kindness? To love all of God’s creatures as our neighbour. How can we walk humbly with our God? To take time to listen to the sure stillness that is in God’s vast love for all. Come let us worship God who gives us opportunities to show God’s blessings every day in every way. Used Sunday July 22, 2012 for 2 Samuel 7:1-14a

For me this year, July is the month of Weddings!  Yesterday I married Elaine and Robert, next Saturday I will marry Aleisha to James , and the next week I will marry Joanie  to Brian!  It is a crazy months for me!  But although many of my colleagues do not like doing weddings for the most part, I honestly really enjoy it!  It is an opportunity to really get to know the couple intimately through marriage prep together, and then I cannot help but join in the excitement and joy when the bride walks down the aisle and meets her future husband at the front.  I get goosebumps every time!  It’s exciting to be a part of something so special, so delightful, so joyful!  In our scripture reading today, King David and a large group of young men were bringing the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem. Loving God, It is with great joy and hope we offer our gifts to you today.   May our money be used to help further your work in the world, and may our talents be used to create a world where all feel free to dance and sing! Amen Used July 15, 2012 Scripture that day 2 Samuel 6:1-19

Loving God, Sometimes it is hard to determine when something generosity and when something is an injustice.   Help the money we give and the time that we spend be used to ensure all people can live a life that is full of love, life, and opportunities.
