Call to Worship:



One:    In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
All:      We gather to worship because of the Word.
One:    The word became flesh and dwelt among us, showing us the way.
All:      We follow the way forward, gathering regularly to remember we are one in Jesus Christ.
One:    We gather this morning to remember, to give thanks, and to sing God’s praises.

I think John 1:1-5 is one of my favourite scripture readings. it reminds us of the eternal constancy of God and the indwelling of God in all of humankind. A wonderful piece of scripture to start the service!
